The Challenge:

Alicante Condos is a 14-story luxury tower located in San Diego’s Bankers Hill neighborhood. The building encountered a significant connectivity challenge with its multi-level parking garage. That’s because it extends four floors underground. Reliable MDU WiFi coverage was essential to support electric vehicle updates. In addition to this, they also needed WiFi calling for residents. This was especially true for residents during their move-in period (when new residents had no WiFi signal). However, the extensive concrete and steel structure of the garage made it challenging to ensure consistent WiFi signal penetration.

Shultz Audio Video designed and installed a comprehensive, high-performance WiFi network for the Condos at Alicante. We ensured reliable connectivity throughout the parking garage and key building areas.

Here’s how we did it:

• Extensive WiFi Coverage: We installed a total of 24 EERO Pro 7 outdoor access points within the parking garage, strategically placing six access points on each of the four subterranean levels to guarantee complete and consistent coverage.
• Building Integration: To further enhance connectivity, we also installed three additional EERO Pro 7 access points within the main building structure.
• Robust Cabling Infrastructure: Our team meticulously ran durable conduits on each floor, protecting the commercial-grade Cat-6 cabling that forms the high-speed backbone of the network. This ensures long-term reliability and optimal performance.

Shultz Audio Video successfully delivered a powerful and pervasive WiFi network at Alicante Condos. Residents now enjoy uninterrupted WiFi connectivity throughout the entire parking garage, including for EV updates and WiFi calling, even before their in-unit services are activated.
