Do you have too many remote controls in your home? It happens. Each component has its own remote. Or, even its own app. And, that adds up to clutter and inconvenience. You’ve been there. It’s Friday night you sit down to watch a movie which requires shuffling among several remotes. So inconvenient, since turning each component on, and making sure it is set up right can eat into your movie time. And, fumbling around for the right remote in the dark is just annoying. Then there is the inevitability of one of your remotes slipping down the side of the couch.
The reality is, there are so many devices to control in our homes nowadays. In fact, most people have at least four. And, the more you have, gaming consoles, speakers, sound systems, streaming media players, smart locks, lighting and so on, the more remotes you have. In short, it’s complicated — almost too complicated. The good news is there’s a cure for this all-too common issue: A universal remote. But, keep in mind, not every universal remote is the same.
