What is Mesh WiFi, and do you need it?
If your wifi signal strength is weak in some areas and strong in others, a mesh WiFi system can help. That’s because mesh networks have greater range and are much faster than your typical WiFi network. And, when you combine mobile devices, streaming, gaming, entertainment and working from home, you are putting lot of strain on your router. This is where mesh networks come in.
Unlike a typical router, a mesh router connects to multiple access points that communicate with each other. The result is faster WiFi speeds, greater coverage, and a more reliable connection. The question is, is a mesh Wi-Fi system right for me?
For anyone that has a smart home a mesh WiFi system is a must! That’s because smart devices like cameras, video doorbells, garage doors, and lighting, all need a steady internet connection. And, a traditional router cannot offer that type of wireless connectivity.
Also, if the router you use does not give you the same speed in every room, or you have a dead spots in your home, this is a good option for you. Additionally, if you have a home that is 3,000 square or more, or have an unusual layout, or your home is made of materials that degrade your signal, you might want to consider a mesh Wi-Fi system too.
Especially if you are tired of dead spots and need a strong WiFi signal because you are working remotely.
